Town health inspector warns public against defecating in corridors

March 14th, 2008 · No Comments

By Bob Ogwang – Radio Apac
APAC – Members of the public in Apac have been accused of continuing to ease themselves in the corridors of houses despite the construction of public toilets and places of convenience.

The town health inspector JP Ogwang says that good public toilets have been constructed and are in use at the Apac bus park premises but many people are not aware of the facilities.

Speaking to our reporter recently Ogwang said that the facilities were constructed under the small town water project and are open to members of the public.

Ogwang said the facilities are available for both short and long calls all at Uganda shillings of 100 shillings while taking a shower from the place goes at 200.  The bathrooms are well fitted with showers while the toilets have flushing systems.

People in town use unfinished houses and corridors to ease themselves and leave the public toilets without being utilized. Ogwang said an operation will start to arrest and prosecute any person found urinating anywhere other than the toilets.
