Students destroy school property after dismissal of teacher

GULU – Students of Charity College, a private school in Gulu district, stoned the school structures and destroyed school assets worth millions of shillings. The students were protesting the dismissal of their English Language teacher, Kenneth Kaunda Okello, blaming the deputy head teacher Morris Masereka for masterminding the teacher’s dismissal.

Government directs districts over education

Leaders condemn Otekat for beating Primary School Teacher.

SOROTI district leaders spent much of their time at the heroes’ day celebrations to condemn the manner in which MP Capt John Emily Otekat canned teachers in Serere County.
Last week, Otekat canned two teachers, Isaac Opit from Omagoro primary school and Alfred Opolot from Orupe Primary school after he found them drinking alcohol.
